Benoît always played in  internationally renowned music groups such as Gong, Mike Oldfield, and more recently Gongzilla while being next to varied domains, to the rock circus in the contemporary music without forgetting diverse jazz universe
Benoît propose here more personal formulae.

MARIMBA SOLOS

ALL PUBLIC
Acoustic or amplified. Adaptations of classic works from the revival til our days, contemporary directory for marimba, standards Latin-jazz, compositions and improvisations.

SOLO YOUNG PUBLIC
Adaptations of details(rooms) for the youth, the bed songs from the Middle Ages til our days, popular melodies, cartoons musics, real concert for the children from 1 to 112 years old.



DUOS

DUO TAMBA
Benoît and Simon Pomarat in the percussions create a multiform universe mixing marimba, vibraphone and percussions of the whole world. A magic sound palette sporadically supported by electronic effects.
Simon Pomarat,
 percussionist playing with artists such Bireli Lagrène, Steve Pots, Marcel Loeffler, Dino Mehrstein and also Pierre Moerlen Gong, brings his energy and his creativity, with sensualism and humor.

AKIMBO
Benoît Moerlen and Stephan Traub on vibraphone.
A surprising meeting between the metal of the blades of the vibraphone and the wood of those of the marimba. Jazz standards, Latin-jazz and compositions.
Stefan Traub,
as Benoît, was formed in the classic percussions, and turns very early to the vibraphone. He pursues his studies with David Friedman and Gary Burton, whose first German pupil he was. He also studied  composition, writes numerous  musics theme for the german television. It is on the occasion of the recording of " Second wind " Gong's album and the  Arial tour that both musicians meet and assert their musical complicity.
